Matt Holtzmann, B.Kin. TSCC-Gold
Director of Sport Conditioning
Matt is the Senior Coach at Twist Tri-Cities and manages the athlete conditioning operations. With a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley, Matt has over 8 years of experience in the sport strength and rehabilitation field, and has now turned his sights directly to Sport Conditioning. Growing up as a multi-sport athlete, he has competed in Premier League baseball, Metro League soccer and Varsity basketball. Today, Matt is a NCCP Level 3 baseball coach and enjoys giving back to the game! Matt also enjoys all of what the west coast has to offer by using his spare time to go snowboarding, hiking, and running. |

Owner
George was born and raised in Vancouver and now lives in Coquitlam with his wife Lynn and their dog Kona and cat Milo. He has been the driving force in bringing Twist Conditioning to the Tri-Cities. George has been playing sports all his life, in particular excelling at soccer and baseball/softball, and is a certified sports junkie. He has been in the sport and conditioning field for over 20 years, running his own business and also working in physio clinics and private and corporate gyms. He is absolutely stoked about the opportunities in the Tri-Cities for Twist Conditioning to help athletes of all ages attain their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual goals and be the best they can be. Lynn Elliott, B.Sc. Health
Owner
Lynn completed her Bachelor of Science in Health at Dalhousie University in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Lynn brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role as owner of Twist Tri-Cities. Her past experience includes owning and managing a number of fitness and health facilities in Nova Scotia. Lynn’s diverse athletic background has led to her organizing and teaching a wide variety of sports and health promotion programs. She has also presented to people of all ages at many marathon and triathlon clinics. Being an avid athlete herself, you can always find Lynn exploring and running on trails in the Tri-City area. A former competitive racer on the Nova Scotia running team, Lynn has competed in many sporting events including triathlons, snow-shoe, adventure, and trail races, and Ironman Canada. |

Kacey Funk, B.Kin. TSCC-Bronze
Sport Conditioning Coach
Graduating with her degree in Kinesiology from the University of Manitoba, Kacey has been involved as a coach in the sport conditioning field for over 5 years. Growing up on a ranch in northern Alberta, Kacey spent a large portion of her time riding horses and doing rodeo, along with pursuing her true passion of hockey. She played one year of hockey at Red Deer College before making the switch to play for the University of Manitoba Bisons. In her 4 years playing defence with the Bisons, they won two conference championships and appeared at Nationals three times. Outside of the rink, Kacey is at home in the mountains and back country. She enjoys any action-packed activity and has never met a sport she didn't like.

Jordy Shumay, B.Kin. CSCS,

Sport Conditioning Coach
Jordy received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, with a major in Exercise and Health Physiology. He completed his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, showing his passion for knowledge. Growing up in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, Jordy was very active in all sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball, skiing and golf. A diverse sporting background and passion for excellence is relayed to all of the athletic programs Jordy coaches. |

Justin Mazzei, TSCC - Bronze
Sport Conditioning Coach
Justin is a graduate from Douglas College, completing his diploma in Sport Science. He looks forward to his continued education at the University of the Fraser Valley to finish a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He is currently studying to become certified as a personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Justin has a well developed background in sport and athletics as he competed in volleyball, basketball, baseball, track and field and soccer throughout his youth into early adulthood. He grew up in the Tri-Cities area and is enthusiastic about implementing his knowledge to athletes of all levels.

Clayton Smith, B.Kin. TSCC - Bronze
Sport Conditioning Coach
Graduating this year with his Kinesiology degree from the University of British Columbia, Clayton has been involved in the sports world a significant amount, playing four years in the BCHL for the Nanaimo Clippers and the Trail Smoke Eaters, as well as playing in the Premier Baseball League for the Nanaimo Pirates, competing at the National level World Series. Clayton also works as the Athletic Trainer for the UBC Thunderbirds Men’s Hockey team. Growing up on Vancouver Island made Clayton an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, surfing and any other novel challenges.
